Here’s a handful of our favourite luxury farm stays and quaint country cottages, so that you and your pooch can make the most of inland Australia.

My Rural Retreat is a pet friendly accommodation located in Guyra NSW. You can choose from two options; The Shepherd’s Hut and The Gardener’s House. Both are equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay, including a fire-pit, courtyard and a gorgeous outdoor setting each. Dogs are allowed inside at My Rural Retreat and both cottages are fully equipped with dog beds and water bowls. The property is set on 1000+ acres, which means there’s tons of great walks and country scenery for you and your doggies to enjoy.

BRIAR ROSE COTTAGES - STANTHORPE, QUEENSLAND If you’re looking to getaway with your significant other, family or group of friends, Briar Rose Cottages has you covered. Located in Stanthorpe in the Granite Belt region, you can choose from their three idyllic, pet friendly cottages. Each modern and fully furnished cottage features all the essentials to kick back and recharge. There are private outdoor entertaining areas, cozy wood fires, high quality linen and stacks of DVDs and books. Briar Rose Cottages is located 1km from the town centre and picturesque Quart Pot Creek. Pets are welcome in all three cottages, with plenty of space for them to enjoy the peace and quiet at your side.

WORENDO COTTAGES- WORENDO, QUEENSLAND Worendo Cottages is located just 90 minutes from Brisbane and the Gold Coast, but it manages to feel a million miles away. Set in the Lost World Valley, these cottages overlook the World Heritage Rainforest Mountains of Lamington National Park.There’s a spacious homestead which comfortably sleeps 12 and a variety of cottages. You can enjoy hints of luxury amongst the wilderness, like wood fires, outdoor showers and bubbling spa baths. Dogs are welcome at Worendo Cottages and there’s lots to explore with them in the local area. Head out on bike trails, go for a picnic or scope out the nearby wineries for a guaranteed good time.

CORYNNIA STATION - HAY, NEW SOUTH WALES This stunning outback homestead will give you a quintessential Aussie bush experience. Located in Hay NSW, Corynnia Station is a 17-acre working property that produces high-quality Merino wool and meat from a flock of 800 sheep. Their pet friendly accommodation options include two charming cottages, sleeping 2 and 4 people respectively. Dogs are welcome inside these if they’re fully house-trained and there’s a mobile enclosure on site as well. There’s plenty to check out on the property itself, with native flora and fauna, gardens and even a tennis court. Your four-legged explorer will love heading out for a bush walk or hanging around the campfire.

GILBERTON OUTBACK RETREAT - EINASLEIGH, QUEENSLAND If you want to experience serenity on a whole new level, you’ll need to check out Gilberton Outback Retreat. This pet friendly accommodation is 100% private, with only one couple staying at any given time. The property overlooks the Gilbert River with magnificent panoramic views and is set on a remote outback cattle station.
